Today was the first time we visited this place and was very impressed with the combination of atmosphere and taste. I liked everything from the delicious food to the pleasant tones of the dark atmosphere. Despite the special request for food preparation, the staff was very polite and professional and fulfilled all our wishes. Thank you very much to the whole team for their work. I will say that we will definitely come back again

Multiple areas to work in (co-working, the front of the cafe and connected to the hotel). The flat white is very smooth here. Mocha depends on the chocolate you get. The egg benefit florentine was quite nice.

The staff are absolutely wonderful! Their service is impressive always one step ahead of the game. They know their customers well and are very personal, warm and welcoming. “Foundation coffee house” is where you’ll find the Ladies in groups sharing and having a laugh whilst having each other’s back. Foundation coffee house is home to the best tasting coffee and familiarity even if it’s your first time visiting it’s like you’ve always been there at some point in your life or on your journey. Drop in and say hello to the ladies. They’ll be happy you came.

Had the French toast and it was some of the best we’ve had. After asking the server to bring another cutlery set to share, he went out of his way to grab another plate for us too. There is a beautiful area with a glass ceiling, however it was too packed so we sat in a slightly less atmospheric location but it was still nice and cosy. My coffee was not very hot, so I would’ve preferred it to be brought out sooner however it was still a good coffee! Would definitely return.

A hidden treat! No idea from the outside just how lovely (or large!) this gorgeous little coffee house is. Plenty of seating, if differing styles to suit everyone. Lovely food choices. Loads of vegan sweet treats too. Boozy drinks and delicious coffees. Try the Turmeric Latte and Beetroot Latte for an alternative sip of heaven. And the staff are top-notch, warm, extra-mile types who make for a welcoming environment. Loved this place!

Fantastic place to grab a coffee and have a seat. It is not too busy, the ambient is modern, clean and relaxed, and you can get work done or study as the wifi is excellent. There are a coffee shop space, bar space and co-working space too. And it closes late! So no more rush if you like working or going out later in the day and you are not much of a morning person. Brilliant, this will become one of my regular places.

Always enjoy the potato and egg hash for breakfast! A good range of drink options, made to a high standard. Nicely decorated space, as part of the Locke hotel, and good music at the right level for working.

Deceptively large inside merging into the Whitworth Locke complex. Look out for daily offers i.e. 50% off sponge cakes today. 25% off Barista made drinks with the Tastecard although there is a 50p charge for plant based milks. There is free WiFi if you wish to sign up to an internet provider.
